Spin the Rooster Terms and Conditions
Eligibility & entry:
- This Spin the Rooster promotion (“Promotion”) is being run by The Marketing Lounge Partnership (a company incorporated in England and Wales with registered number 6467245, whose registered office is at The Cow Shed, Walnut Tree Farm, Lower Stretton, Cheshire, WA4 4PG, the “Operator”), on behalf of Howden Joinery Limited (a company incorporated in England and Wales with registered number 00526923, whose registered office is at 40 Portman Square, London W1H 6LT, “Howdens”).
- By entering the Promotion, entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and agreed to be bound by them.
- The Promotion is open to current Howdens trade customers only who are permanent residents of United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland only), aged 18 years and above, who have spent £10 (excluding VAT) or more on any Trend product in 1 invoice between 7th August and 2nd September 2023 (inclusive) at participating Howdens depots – see list of participating depots by using the link at term 7 below (subject to terms 4, 5, 6 & 7). At point of sale, you will be given a postcard with a QR code to scan to access the Promotion. The Promotion is not open to any Howdens' trade account that is held by or in the name of a council, trust, school, hospital, or housing association, regardless of whether they make a qualifying purchase. Any accounts with an overdue payment will also be excluded from the Promotion.
- Entrants can claim spins up to the 9th September 2023 or until the total number of prizes have been won (9,055 total prizes available), whichever comes first (the “Closing Date”). Any attempted spin after the Closing Date will be invalid and illegible for a prize.
- The Promotion is not open to employees, nor family members of employees of Howdens, the Operator, nor any of their group companies, nor any affiliates of such companies.
- For every qualifying purchase, as outlined in term 3, entrants will receive maximum 1 spin per day, per Trade Account during the Promotion. E.g. If a valid entrant completes two qualifying purchases (outlined in term 3), in two separate invoices (including on the same day) they will be eligible for two spins (not to be spun on the same day).
- The Promotion excludes purchases made in Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland depots. View the list of participating depots here.
How to enter:
- To spin, please visit or scan the QR code to be directed to: www.howdensrooster.com/spintherooster. Entrants will need the following information available:
• First Name
• Last Name
• Email address
• Invoice Number
Entrants will also need to confirm one tick box

Winner selection and notification:
- Once an entrant has spun the wheel, they will be notified instantly of the prize they may have won. Prizes will be confirmed via email within seventy-two (72) hours following the spin date following validation check on qualification. Except the £5 Greggs voucher as these will be auto-validated.
- Entries will be validated against the Invoice Number to ensure a qualifying purchase was made at a participating Howdens depot. Except the £5 Greggs voucher as these will be auto-validated.
11a. Any entrants who win a prize using false, or inaccurate information i.e. wrong invoice number, not making a qualifying purchase (spending £10 (exc VAT) or more on any Trend product in 1 invoice) or making the purchase before 7th August 2023, will have their prize rescinded.
11b. If your entry is rejected due to incorrect details being added, you must be aware that you aren’t guaranteed to land on the same prize if you attempt to spin again.
Prizes: - Prizes are supplied by the Operator: physical prizes within 14 working days from address entry (either delivered to you or you will have to collect from your local Howdens depot depending on the prize – see specific delivery/collection conditions under the Gift Terms and Conditions below); E-Codes and Vouchers are supplied immediately after validation (in email), with the exception of:
• Howdens Credit Account (see details below) which will be supplied by Howdens within 7 working days. - Prizes will be awarded on a random basis, except that the chance of winning a particular type of prize is weighted as explained below. Howdens’ decision is final and binding in all respects on all entrants and no correspondence will be entered into.
- A valid spin will have the chance to win one (1) of the following prizes depending on where the spinner lands:

DELIVERY AND USE OF A PRIZE IS SUBJECT TO THE GIFT TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW.
- Winners may be required to confirm acceptance of a prize and provide additional information (for instance a delivery address) where necessary to deliver the prize.
16.The Operator and/or Howdens will not be responsible for any delays caused by any third parties (e.g., the postal service and internet service providers).
17.Prizes do not include any costs incurred that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize, including but not limited to travel, insurance, the cost of transfers to and from airports or stations, food and drink, spending money, accommodation, tax or personal expenses.
18.Prizes cannot be transferred, refunded, or exchanged for a cash alternative. The Operator reserves the right to substitute a prize (or any part of them) for a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater monetary value if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control.
19.In the event that there are any unwon prizes at the time the campaign ends, these will be put into a prize draw (“Prize Draw”). All participants who entered the Spin the Rooster Promotion will be eligible for the Prize Draw. Prizes will be awarded on a random basis. For every spin of the wheel an entrant has had, they will receive the same number of entries into the Prize Draw i.e. a customer makes 10 qualifying purchases/spins, they will be entered 10 times (even if land on no-win) into the prize draw. This Prize Draw will take place on 16th September 2023. Winners will be notified on 17th September 2023 and sent online prizes via email the same day or emailed a request for their postal address on this date for the physical gifts. Participants will receive any physical gifts within 14 working days from receipt of postal address. Any entries that are rejected by Howdens will not be entered into the Prize Draw. Same rules apply to this Prize Draw as the Spin the Rooster Promotion, as applicable (see above and below).
20.If the winners of physical prizes cannot be contacted within 14 working days to obtain a postal address Howdens reserves the right to offer the prizes to another entrant.
Liability (ATTENTION IS DRAWN TO THIS CLAUSE):
21.Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from negligence, or in respect of fraud, the Operator and Howdens, their group companies, their employees, and their agents exclude responsibility and all liability to the maximum extent permitted by law, including in respect of (without limitation): a) any postponement or cancellation of the Promotion; b) any changes to, supply of or use of the prize; and c) any act or default of any third party supplier, which are beyond the Operator’s and/or Howdens reasonable control.
22.Participants will have no claim or action whatsoever against the Operator and Howdens, their group companies, their employees, and their agents, employees, or agencies because of participating in the Promotion.
23.The Operator and Howdens reserve the right to withdraw or amend the Promotion in the event of unforeseen circumstances outside their reasonable control.
24.The Operator and Howdens, their group companies, their employees, and their agents do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure, regardless of cause, including, for example, equipment failure, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind, which may restrict, delay or prevent the transmission or receipt of your entry or which may be regarded as spam or junk mail.
25.If the Operator or Howdens has grounds to suspect any entrant or third party of cheating, deception or fraudulent or un-sportsman-like conduct of any kind (including, without limitation, manipulating the Promotion or any entry) the Operator or Howdens reserves the right (in their sole discretion) to disqualify any entrant, entry, or person it reasonably believes to be responsible for, or associated with such activity.
26.An entrant is responsible for the behaviour of themselves and their guest(s) whilst enjoying a prize. The Operator, Howdens and the prize supplier have the right in their absolute discretion to exclude an entrant and/or guest(s) from participation in a prize if the entrant and/or their guest(s) fail to comply with the directions of the Operator, Howdens or the prize supplier or acts in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others.
General:
26.The Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter or any other third party and by entering the Promotion you release LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and any other third party from any action or claim or liability arising out of the Promotion. All third-party trademarks and other intellectual property rights are hereby acknowledged.
28.These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England & Wales and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with the Promotion except that (i) residents of Scotland may also bring proceedings in Scottish Courts, and (ii) residents of Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in Northern Irish Courts.
29.The Operator and Howdens will only use personal information provided by entrants for the purpose of administering the Promotion except as explained below in relation to photography. Please refer to the Operator’s Privacy Policy and Howdens Privacy Policy for further details. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall restrict the Operator or Howdens from disclosing winner information to persons enquiring where required by law (entrants may object to their information being made available in this way or request the information is reduced by contacting the Operator at dco@mlp.agency/ to the ASA, if required to do so.
30.Where prizes are third party products or service those third parties’ privacy policies will also be applicable, and acceptance may be a condition of receipt of the product or service.
Photography:
31.Howdens may wish to share the outcome with other customers and colleagues. If you agree to have your photograph taken Howdens may use this for the purpose of internal communications (Howdens staff) and external social media activity and external marketing/promotional activity to promote Howdens. You agree that Howdens can use your photograph and any other related content provided by you via our social networks and digital marketing platforms (including www.howdens.com) and other Howdens and third-party print and digital marketing and promotional materials for as long as we deem appropriate. You also agree Howdens can use your personal data for such purposes.
32.You do not have to have your photograph taken if you do not wish to. If you do agree and your photograph (and any other content provided) is used as set out above, it is possible it will then be shared by other social media users/on the internet which will be outside of our control.

- This Holiday Voucher has an expiry date of 2 years from the date of issue.

Night Away for two T&C's (room only)
- This offer entitles you to a Night Away for two in a participating hotel, on an accommodation only basis, free of charge with no obligation to purchase meals or beverages.
- The offer is based on two adults sharing a standard twin or double room. Room upgrades (e.g. to a family room) to include additional guests are chargeable and are to be paid for at the time of booking. - Children may not solely utilise the offer. Children are subject to the venue’s children rates and terms & conditions.
